Cogs& Capers is a unique registered tourist attraction nestled in the heart of Bendigo (Junortoun)Established in the 1990s, offering visitors:
• A captivating interactive journey through the world of old-school homemade electric items powered by cogs.
• A pioneer in STEM-based learning, providing an immersive experience that combines mechanical marvels with English language exploration through "capergrams" and playful scientific discovery.
Cogs and Capers in partnership with Connecting Futures Australia will also offer:
• Opportunities for participants to build a range of Employment, Communication, Social skills while immersing in the world of STEM
• Skills building around Retail, Design, Manufacturing, Tourism, Customer service, Maintenance, Marketing, Business Management, Budgeting and the opportunity to express creativity through recreating attractions within the site.
• Provide an engaging and educational experience for visitors of all ages
• Support local artisans, businesses, and individuals with disabilities by showcasing their work
Foster a sense of community pride and connection
• Promote STEAM education and English language exploration in a fun and interactive way
• Bringing the old and new together to interactively explore what is possible
• Providing employment and soft skills building opportunities via the Cogs and Capers skills centre for both participants in the school system and those that have transitioning out of school
